Fix the Instagram 'Free with Ads' Issue Blocking Facebook Ads

You cannot publish your add due to subscription, but you actually don't have any paid ad free subscription?

You cannot publish the ad due to your subscription: Since you subscribe to Meta's ad-free products, you cannot publish this ad. You can manage your subscription in ad preferences at any time.

Ad Cannot Be Launched Due to Subscription.Because you subscribed to use Meta Products without ads, you cannot launch an ad in Ads Manager. You can manage your subscription at any time in ad preferences.

I will show you how I solved this case

For me, it happened only when adding Facebook Lead Campaigns, with other I didn't have problem. However, the lead campaign with the form inside the ad where the most important for me. On Reddit I found out many people have this problem when boosting the post. So you can apply the solutions to any case.

Solution 1) This worked for me
Go to Ad group level and change Audience Targeting from Advantage+ to orgianal audience.

Unfortunately it's only partial solution because you cannot use advantage plus targeting for your Facebook Ads.

Other solutions...

Before ou start any of them.

Update your instagram app! otherwise any of those won't work.

Solution 2) I didn't have such options in my setting, but maybe you will have

1. Go to Instagram Brand Account > Settings > Account Center > Ad preference
2. Choose: Free with ads

Solution 3) Open Instagram account Selecting "Free with Ads"
Go to instagram app

1. Go to your profile in the Instagram app.
2. Press the three horizontal lines on the top right of the screen.
3. Select "Settings and Privacy".
4. Go to "Accounts Center".
5. Select "Ads Preferences".
6. Select the top option, which should say "Free with ads".
7. Confirm by selecting "Free with ads".
8. Exit back to the main page, and it should ask you if you want to subscribe.
9. Say "No", and you're all set!

Solution 3) Try on desktop

On mobile app I couldn't find "free with ads option", but it was available on desktop in my case.

1. Go to: https://accountscenter.instagram.com/ad_preferences/
2. Select the top option, which should say "Free with ads".
3. Confirm by selecting "Free with ads".
4. Exit back to the main page, and it should ask you if you want to subscribe.
5. Say "No", and you're all set!

Solution 2: If "Free with Ads" Does Not Appear

1. Press the three horizontal lines on the top right of the screen.
2. Go to "Accounts Center".
3. Press "Accounts" (last in the list) and ADD ONE ACCOUNT.
4. Return to "Ad Preferences", and the "FREE WITH ADS" option should now be available.

Keep in mind that above settings are not available to everyone. I don't have them in my app even after update.

Other possibilities when you cannot Boost your post or run ads.
Make sure your age is above 18 if you don't have business account.
